The fluorescent bulb is protected with a clear plastic diffuser/spalsh guard. The heavy-duty adjustable arm with tempered steel springs allows for easy positioning. When fully extended the arm has a reach of 35". Comes with a c-clamp for mounting to desk, workbench, table, etc. or can be mounted directly on the working surface. 5 foot power cord.
